Our nonprofit work at The Change Climate Project is funded by program fees, grants, and donations.‍

To achieve The Climate Label Certification, all companies must demonstrate that they have met the requirements of The Climate Label Certification Standard. This page describes the program fees you must pay to complete the certification process, including preparing and submitting the necessary documentation.

Please Note: Program Pricing does not include your costs of paying third parties (such as consultants, assurance providers, software providers, and/or carbon credit or REC brokers).

1. Certification: Guided Support

A Guided Support Fee applies to those companies that work with TCCP when preparing submissions for certification. This fee is only paid by certifying brands that opt into Guided Support.

The Guided Support Fee includes a BEE license, resources, and the knowledge network provided by our team and coaches. Payment for Guided Support is due upon signing the Brand License Agreement (for first-time certifying brands) or certification kickoff (for re-certifying brands).

What's Included:

The Business Emissions Evaluator (BEE)

Annual subscription to our carbon management software platform, the BEE, is included for certifying companies. Includes software tools for a carbon inventory, visualizations, reduction planning, target setting, and analysis.

Guided Carbon Management & Transition Budget Support

A hands-on support program to guide you through preparing to meet certification requirements. Includes prescribed timelines, email reminders, and group support. You’ll be paired with a Carbon Management Coach for 1:1 touch-points on measurement and reduction planning, and a CTB Coach for 1:1 touch-points on calculating and allocating your Climate Transition Budget.

Carbon Credit Provider Directory

A directory of carbon credit providers including provider info, pre-vetted project options, and links to purchase eligible verified carbon credits.

Educational Programs‍

A full library of self-service resources, with online and offline materials, to help you prepare your submission for certification, plus access to workshops, content, and events.

Guided Support Option for Small Businesses

Companies with less than $5m in annual revenues are opted into “Small Business Support” by default, and pay no Guided Support Fee. Small Business Support is a streamlined approach that works better for most small businesses.

However, small businesses may upgrade to Guided Support for a fee of $1,500 for a more detailed analysis and feedback throughout the certification prep process.

Independent Submission

Companies that are able to prepare certification documents independently, relying only on internal resources and/or working with a third party consultant (i.e., without relying on Guided Support), may apply to become certified via Independent Submission. There is no Guided Support fee for entities that opt into Independent Submission.
